Windows Live Mail is the successor to Outlook Express. It allows adding both a chat button and a chat link for emails to the email signature.

If you send emails in HTML format, you can add there a chat button for emails or a direct link to your Visitor Live Chat Messenger. The chat button in this case will be displayed as a chat icon and a direct link will appear as a URL

Outlook Express will work neither with Windows 7 and 8 nor Windows Vista. Outlook Express has been replaced with Windows Live Mail – which does work with Windows 7, 8 and Vista. However, it is still widely used by Windows XP users. This convenient and user friendly email client allows adding both a chat button and a chat link to the email signature.

To add a link to your chat on LinkedIn please do the following:
  1. Click Profile / Edit Profile… on LinkedIn
  2. Click Edit next to ‘Additional Information’ section
  3. In ‘Websites’ block choose ‘Other:’ from a dropdown list
  4. Type the title you wish to be displayed in ‘Website Title’ field (something like ‘Chat live with me!’)
  5. Paste the direct link to your chat messenger into ‘URL’ field
  6. Save changes
