If you are looking to enhance your website's customer service experience, adding additional chat buttons or links can be a great way to achieve this. Not only does it provide your customers with an additional means of communication, but it can also make your website more user-friendly and convenient.

So, how can you add an additional chat button or link to the same page, if you already have your primary chat button there? It can be done with additional tags.

  • To place an additional text link, use this tag:
    <a href="#" onclick="psOpenWindow(); return false;">your link text here</a>
  • To place an additional graphic button, use this tag:
    <a href="#" onclick="psOpenWindow(); return false;"><img src="your image URL here" style="border:0px" alt="Live Customer Support"></a>

If you’d like to use your custom chat icon, different from the primary one, you can specify the URL to this image in the corresponding parameter. You can also use the same chat icon as your primary one, in this case, you will need to specify its URL as https://image.providesupport.com/image/your-account-hash/current

To find your account hash or copy the whole tag with the image link included, go to the "Chat Button Codes" section in your account control panel and select the first code that is marked as Recommended. You'll find the additional tag with your chat image link below the main code.

When adding additional icons or text links to your website, it's important to make sure that they are placed in prominent locations that are easy for customers to find. Consider adding them to high-traffic areas such as your homepage or product pages.
