How to customize modern chat messenger
Once after you have enabled the Modern Chat Messenger Type, you'd need to customize its look and feel. The following steps will explain you how to do this.
Choosing the right chat window theme and color
You can choose the theme for your chat window and pick the color to match your website look and feel on the Account Settings / Visitor Chat Messenger page. To proceed with customizing your chat window look and feel, please do the following:

2.Choose there your chat messenger theme. There are a couple of designs available in our gallery. You can also pick the color for the theme you like.

Defining chat window size
Depending on the number of fields on your pre-chat form and your design preferences you can define the size of your chat messenger screen. You can leave the default one 400x570px or set your custom values in the Chat messenger size section on the Account Settings / Visitor Chat Messenger page. Minimum size is 320х320 px. If you want to display your chat messenger in a separate window, you'd need to enable "In a pop up window" in "Open chat messenger" section.

Defining chat button position
Within Chat button position section you can define your live chat button position on your browser window. The standard position is the bottom right corner (20px from right, 20px from bottom). However, you can change it if necessary. In our gallery we offer a rich set of modern looking live chat icons, you are welcome to choose the best set of images from it or upload your own one on the Account Settings / Images page.
Please note! The chat messenger will load at the position where your live chat button is added. In case you would like to have a chat button and several chat links added to your website page, contact our support chat for solution.

Defining chat window type: embedded or pop up
Define the way your chat messenger opens - embedded into the page or in a pop up window. For Embedded Chat Messenger you can define custom online and offline titles:

If you leave "Use custom online chat title" and "Use custom offline chat title" fields blank, the following default field titles will be displayed:
•"Online Chat" - for online chat window state
•"Leave a Message" - for offline chat window state
If you decide to display your chat messenger in a pop up window, you can define only one custom chat window title - both for online and offline states. This title will be displayed in a browser title bar:

If you leave "Use custom chat window title" field blank, the following text will be displayed as your chat messenger window title - "Customer Support Messenger"

Check the chat messenger functionality under "Chat messenger functions" and uncheck the options you would like to hide in your chat messenger.

3.If you are ready to save changes, click "Save" button

Chat window toolbar options can be enabled / disabled on the Account Settings / Visitor Chat Messenger page. You can hide unnecessary icons in the Chat messenger functions sections. On the following sceenshot you can see chat window toolbar functions:

File transfer process
Images, and video files sent in modern chat messenger can be previewed in chat window. If you send audio files, your customer can listen to them prior to downloading. Your customers can also paste files from the clipboard or drag and drop them:

While sending a video file a preview with a player is available so that you could play your file prior to downloading it:

For audio files which you send your customers a built into chat window audio player allows listening to them directly in chat:

Chat transcript sending
If you allow your customers send themselves chat transcripts, they can do this by clicking "envelope" icon :

Alternatively, a visitor can request a chat transcript while leaving a chat room, before submitting a post chat survey:
