New Chat Messenger Design

 

Chat messenger is now available is a new design. It loads in an embedded window in the position where the chat button is added. It significantly differs from the pop up chat messenger which is currently sued, thus some of the features such as operator greeting message, company logo which are available in current chat messenger will not be available in a new embedded chat messenger.

1.In your account Control Panel follow Account Settings / Visitor Live Chat Messenger Mode page and choose "Use modern chat messenger" option

2.If you would like to test our new chat messenger internally, you can list IP addresses which the chat messenger will be visible from in the "Limit modern chat messenger visibility for testing purposes" field. Please note! You should enter one IP per line. If you leave this field empty, all your website visitors will be able to see new chat messenger design right after you click "Save" button.

3.Save your changes by clicking "Save" button.

 

How to customize new chat messenger

 

Once after you have enabled the New Chat Messenger Mode, you'd need to customize its look and feel. The following steps will explain you how to do this:

2.Choose there your chat messenger theme. There are a couple of designs available in our gallery. You can also pick the color for the theme you like.

3.Define the size of your chat messenger screen. You can leave the default one 400x570px

4.Define your live chat button position on your browser window. The standard position is the bottom right corner (20px from right, 20px from bottom). However, you can change it if necessary. Please note! The chat messenger will load at the position where your live chat button is added.

5.Define the way your chat messenger opens - embedded into the page or in a pop up window. For Embedded Chat Messenger you can define custom online and offline titles:

If you leave "Use custom online chat title" and "Use custom offline chat title" fields blank, the following default field titles will be displayed:

"Online Chat" - for online chat window state

"Leave a Message" - for offline chat window state

 

If you decide to display your chat messenger in a pop up window, you can define only one custom chat window title - both for online and offline states. This title will be displayed in a browser title bar:

If you leave "Use custom chat window title" field blank, the following text will be displayed as your chat messenger window title - "Customer Support Messenger"

 

6.Check the chat messenger functionality under "Chat messenger functions" and uncheck the options you would like not to display in your chat messenger.

7.If you are ready to save changes, click "Save" button
