Provide Support Adds Visitor's Geographic Location Feature

Provide Support, LLC, a hosted live chat service for business websites, adds new features to its software for new and existing customers.

New York, NY - May 12, 2005 - Provide Support, a website customer chat service, announces the release of software version 3.2.3.

This software release is an update of Provide Support's standalone Windows operator console. Like all previous software versions, it may be downloaded for free by all users, including those currently in the 10-day free-trial period.

Software version 3.2.3 allows the operator to see the website visitor's country, city, and other pertinent information. Clicking on the location link gives statistical information about the visitor's country. This version also contains a few cosmetic changes, such as different button labeling to make the console easier to use.

A few technical issues were addressed in version 3.2.3. This release has improved reconnection ability in the event that the Internet connection is momentarily lost on the client's side during a chat. Fewer system resources are used in this version, which allows operators to conduct more simultaneous chats.

"We added the new features as a direct response to feedback from our customers," says Sergey Skugarev, CEO of Provide Support. "We think that live, responsive software development is something that distinguishes us in the chat industry. Our customers told us which features they wanted, so we added them."

Skugarev says the feedback came from a mailing to his customers two months ago in which he asked them what new features they wanted in upcoming software releases. He was pleased to learn that most of his customers are already very happy with the service. Many of their responses are now posted on Provide Support's testimonials page.

Provide Support's services are hosted by 1and1.com, one of the largest data centers in the US, which promises 99.9 percent uptime.
